Maintenance Of VCB SF6 LBS In India

Maintenance of VCB Includes:

• Cleaning Vacuum Circuit Breaker using CRC-226.
• Removal of old grease and reapplication of recommended grease.
• Verification of SIC Contacts condition.
• Examination of jaw alignment and condition.
• Hardware inspection and tightening.
• Verification of pole alignment and closure.
• Breaker trip detection and push button check.
• Inspection between side plate and hylam sheet.
• Motor performance testing during EDO condition.
• Auxiliary connectors continuity and changeover check.
• Insulation Resistance (IR) testing between phases and earth (open & closed condition).
• Replacement of VCB breaker spare parts.
• Vacuum Interrupter Integrity Test, Mechanism Check, Lubrication, and Tripping Operation.

SF6 Circuit Breaker Maintenance:

• Leak detection using SF6 gas leakage detectors.
• Inspection of gradient capacitors for oil leakage.
• Dew point testing every 3–4 years with hygrometer.
• Replacement of faulty SF6 breaker poles.

Load Break Switch (LBS) Maintenance:

• Maintenance of both on-load and off-load LBS (11kV, 22kV, 33kV).
• Inspection of spring mechanism and recharging.
• Cleaning, greasing, and replacement of defective parts.
• Mechanical testing and recharging as per manufacturer guidelines.
