Substation Gantry Manufacturers
Dead-end Structures are where the line ends or angles off. They are typically made of heavier steel to withstand higher tensions. The two most common dead-end structures are H-Frame and A-Frame types.
A gantry is a steel pole-type support structure in a substation used to support the electrical conductor from a nearby transmission tower. The structure is usually made using GI Channel Angles.
All electrical conductors on the nearby transmission tower are connected to the gantry in the substation with the help of insulators. However, the ground wire is connected to the top of the gantry without using an insulator.
In simple terms, a gantry supports electrical conductors in substations and ensures proper ground clearance. Bus bars are usually hung on the gantry for easier and simpler connections to all power devices.
